Yulquen Communication
Yulquen Communication is a multi-tasked communication and public relations agency, mainly focused on media relations. Based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, it was created in 2021 by Etienne Bel. Yulquen aims to help cultural and institutional projects to get known the way they deserve it.
But what does “Yulquen” mean? Nothing, really. The agency’s name comes from a track by IDM’s band Autechre. It was released on their “Amber” album (Warp Records, 1994) and this is a timeless inspirational gem for the agency’s creator.
Etienne Bel
Active for many years in the cultural sphere, Etienne Bel has contributed to it in many different ways. First of all, through his numerous artistic projects, such as Pavel (electronic music composer and DJ), Estelle Zamme (half of the audiovisual duo) or Blizzard Audio Club (music label manager).
He works as a freelance multitasker, mainly focusing on the world of communication and media, but also in more general public relations.
Press attaché for Hummus Records from 2018 to 2023, he is mandated by multiple actors of the cultural scene (but not only). He created Yulquen Communication in 2021, in order to regroup under a single title his activities.
Apart from all these activities, he is project manager for Ledermann Films and also worked as a communication officer at Festi’neuch from 2020 to 2022.
